This Will Be The Greatest Baseball Game In 2024
How The Greatest Baseball Game Ever Will Be Played at Rickwood Field, and How That Has Experience to Connect Boys & Fathers Together
With today being Juneteenth, I have always been interested in becoming a good parent and trying to be a good father as a single mother properly raised me.
If you are a single mother raising a son, don’t give up.
Your son will one day learn the need to be the man he always wanted to have to live a proper and good life.
Why I am excited to write this story is because, yes, it’s a baseball game, but I can help connect myself with the man I always wanted to be as I uniquely discover more about my life.
How the only man in my life, my late grandfather and I spent our summer nights was watching the St. Louis Cardinals as he was a fan of the team from birth, and helped me become a baseball fan before he passed in 2012.
Those moments led me to today where I am the only man in the house, watching a baseball game, trying to build a new tradition with myself right before I get married.
The baseball game to celebrate Juneteenth and the history of Negro League Baseball at Rickwood Field, even given Willie Mays’ death yesterday, has even more meaning for more than just the family, Major League Baseball, and men.
It helps men like me connect with what I need to know before fatherhood and forgive my past to lead a better future for boys like myself.
