This is another episode of “Keeping Things in The Middle: Small Area Crime Edition” where our first episode examines the April Fools Day 1998 tri-state shootings committed by two troubled boys from Washington, Indiana in Chalky Wessel and Steven A. Hale.
Hale is still alive facing a life sentence in an Illinois prison while Wessel took his own life in the tragic incident where five people lost their lives in Indiana and Illinois.
This episode was posted to YouTube last Thursday as a second version, the story of the 1999 Independence Day Shootings in Chicago & Bloomington will air on Thursday (on YouTube first) and then on Substack on Friday.
